It’s been over three months, but the feeling and smells of the rotting food, stomach acid, and maggots crawling over her hand, after it pushed through the swollen belly of one of the corpses, hasn’t stopped haunting Lisa.
Even after being saved, and showering multiple times, scrubbing for hours, she swears she can still see and feel the maggots on her hand. The Counselor tries for the hundredth time to get her past that moment, but nothing is working.
